About the Role:

Employment Type: Permanent

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Screen Plant Superintendent to oversee day-to-day operations at our screening facilities. This role is responsible for supervising personnel and ensuring the efficient operation of screen plants and auxiliary equipment. The Superintendent will work closely with Production Managers to coordinate production schedules and ensure targets are met safely and efficiently. Key responsibilities include planning and organizing daily work assignments to achieve production goals in line with monthly and annual targets, while maintaining strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage operations across crushers, screens, washing plants, and the weigh bridge,

  • Perform daily inspections and ensure the smooth operation of all plant equipment,

  • Oversee the service, maintenance, and repair of crushers and associated machinery,

  • Conduct conveyor belt joining, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance,

  • Analyze equipment malfunctions and coordinate timely repairs or rebuilds to minimize downtime,

  • Prepare and submit parts and material requests in line with maintenance planning,

  • Support and carry out light vehicle maintenance as required,

  • Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to ensure safety, compliance, and performance targets are consistently met,

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s level education (Bac +) or equivalent technical qualification

  • Minimum of 10 years of hands-on mechanical experience with crushers and screens

  • At least 5 years of proven experience in a supervisory or management role

  • In-depth knowledge of machine functionality, adjustments, and wear part optimization for performance improvement

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accurate record-keeping

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team

  • Ability to work independently, follow technical instructions, and make sound decisions under pressure

  • Basic computer literacy for reporting, scheduling, and parts ordering

  • Radial Stackers – Edge RS1500

  • Screen Plants – Terex Chieftain 2100X and Terex Finlay models

  • Washing Plants – general wash plant machinery
