We are looking for a reliable and detail-driven Inventory Controller to manage inventory operations at our coal mining site. This role plays a critical part in forecasting supply and demand to ensure essential mining equipment, tools, and spare parts are always available—while avoiding overstock and unnecessary expenditure. The successful candidate will be responsible for tracking all incoming and outgoing materials, maintaining accurate inventory records, and managing stock within strict financial parameters.
In this high-impact role, you’ll oversee the secure and appropriate storage of critical items, including fragile or sensitive components used in mining operations. You will be expected to perform regular physical stock counts, determine minimum and maximum inventory levels, and coordinate routine inventory audits to maintain operational efficiency. A strong understanding of mining logistics and a proactive approach to inventory planning are essential for success in this position.
Job Responsibilities:

Forecast Supply & Demand: Proactively monitor and forecast inventory needs to prevent overstocking or shortages of essential mining equipment and parts.

Inventory Management: Oversee the complete inventory lifecycle, including tracking all incoming and outgoing mining materials, tools, and components.

Financial Discipline: Manage inventory levels within strict financial constraints, ensuring cost-effective procurement and storage practices.

Storage Oversight: Ensure safe, organized, and secure storage of all items—especially fragile or high-value components used in mining operations.

Stock Control: Conduct regular physical stock counts and maintain accurate minimum and maximum inventory levels to support uninterrupted mining activity.

Inventory Audits: Coordinate and participate in scheduled inventory audits to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Record Maintenance: Keep detailed and up-to-date records of all parts and materials received, stored, and issued across the coal mining site.
Key Requirements:

Experience Required: 3–5 years of proven experience in inventory or material management, with specific knowledge of Ebiz systems and computer-based stock control.

Work Ethic: Must be trustworthy, honest, and able to perform duties with minimal supervision in a fast-paced mining environment.

Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Material Management, Procurement & Supply, or a related field relevant to mining operations.

Good communication skills (English and KiSwahili),
